Luxembourg, February 4, 2025 – Tonies, the global leader in children’s digital audio entertainment, has delivered outstanding preliminary results for FY 2024. Tonies growth continues to remain strong as the company achieved its full-year guidance, delivering substantial revenue increases, higher profitability, and free cash flow well above €10 million.
Driven by double-digit growth across all markets, Tonies growth continued its momentum, with North America emerging as its largest market. The successful launch in Australia and New Zealand, along with sustained expansion in the UK and France, reinforced the brand’s global appeal.
Tonies Growth Continues With Record-Breaking Revenue Expansion
Tonies reported a 33% YoY revenue increase to approximately €480 million, as Tonies growth continues through strong consumer demand and expanded retail partnerships.
- North America revenue surged by 50% YoY to €210 million, making it the company’s largest region. This success was driven by widespread wholesale expansion and increased brand presence.
- The DACH Region region saw 11% YoY growth, reaching €184 million, with Q4 sales up 21% YoY. The continued growth was attributable to strong holiday demand.
- Rest of the World: revenue surged 55% YoY to €85 million, driven by strong UK and France performance and a successful Australia and New Zealand launch in August 2024.
Exceptional Q4 Performance
In Q4, revenue rose 41% YoY. Black Friday and Cyber Monday saw strong demand.
- North America: €118 million in Q4 revenue, up 47% YoY, highlighting rapid retail expansion.
- DACH Region: €70 million in Q4 revenue, up 21% YoY, demonstrating continued brand strength.
- Rest of the World: €49 million in Q4 revenue, up 59% YoY, with strong sales across all markets.
This exceptional Q4 performance solidified Tonies’ growth trajectory, positioning the company for further expansion.
Profitability and Financial Strength
Tonies delivered strong revenue growth while also improving profitability and cash flow:
- Adjusted EBITDA margin is expected to rise at least three percentage points YoY, reaching the upper half of the 6%-8% guidance range.
- Free cash flow exceeded expectations, breaking even for the first time and surpassing €10 million, reinforcing the company’s strong financial health.
